When facing a real challenge in life, most people tend to be indecisive or even at a loss, not knowing which way to go. How come we are so short of wisdom?

While being reluctant is somehow expected in periods of real hardship, this lack of strong spirit and confidence seems to apply even to everyday decision making. Even for the smallest discomfort, we seem unable to take the right action and choose to be out of the loop concerning changes that affect our own life.
Why can’t we distinguish one situation from another and decide firmly what to do about all the things that call for action? The fable of Ancient Greek Gods hiding wisdom inside us as a punishment for humans being so careless and indecisive is a vivid allegory explaining that we sometimes don’t care enough or trust ourselves to seek the answers within. We are so worried about finding solutions elsewhere that we forget we already have the answer. Our wisdom works in pure perfection and helps us cope with all of our challenges. It lays inside, waiting for us to seek it. Yet we opt for the opinion of others believing they know best for us! Magazines, relatives, the internet, everything but ourselves is highly ranked and matters more than our own opinion.
When in doubt and distress, always trust your instincts. Take the right time to clear your head, relax, and access your inner wisdom. When we practice our “”Inner Wisdom” exercise, my coachees are amazed at their findings! It takes practice and devoted meditation to find the answer even to the most complex challenges, but I can tell you that when you get the grasp of how wondrously our minds work and restore trust in yourself, you’ll have the answer to… everything!
