It’s the middle of September and Joy started school on Monday. This was the week of adjusting to the new reality. I am so blessed that 17 years ago I took the decision to create my own enterprise. I took a leap of faith, leaving a very well paid job jumping into the entrepreneurship pool.
One of the reasons I did it was for Joy. Nope, she was not born then, but I knew I wanted to be the master of my schedule when she would come. And I planned it.
One of the biggest blessings for me is to be able to have breakfast with her, get her into the school bus and pick her up after school. This has been one of my priorities. Growing up, many times my mom was not home when I would get back from school, and I would feel a sense of sadness. I do it for me, so that I feel I am with her. It purely selfish 🙂

In Global Academy of Coaching, one of the biggest challenges that we are facing in supporting our students is to actually bring life coaching into the world.
We start coaching from the first month. What does that mean? That we support you to get out there and bring clients as soon as possible. Do you have all the knowledge and skills and abilities in order to do that? Yes. We train you.
Our students are getting paid as early as possible during their studies, and in some cases we had many students have paid completely their tuition off from the fifth month of study. So let’s see. I’m going to share with you what I’m training our coaches, our students to do in order to make this work. In the beginning, it’s so important that you develop discipline.
Okay? You have a very, very neat schedule that you follow through. And I say in the beginning, because of course, you’re going to need this throughout. But in the beginning, you really need to stick to it. So an accountability buddy is definitely going to help you on this. Now, I suggest that you set up your day in a way that you’re doing 80% marketing. Oh, yes, 80% marketing. What does marketing mean, Jill? So you’re writing articles, you’re doing videos, you’re reaching out to clients, you’re sending offers, you are arranging to do seminars and workshops.
This is what marketing is. Okay. Another very important step is that you set up a real office away from destruction. You’re going to go, Oh, this is so tough. Where am I going to find the office? And I’m telling you, there is so many opportunities, so much opportunity out there. I don’t care if it’s even, you know, a little cabin down in your garden, but find a room that will have zero distractions because as I’ve said before, you really need to set this up as a business.
Okay, my beautiful friend, another tip that I’m going to give you is to get out of your comfort zone every single day, pick up the phone and call that client. I don’t know. Whatever. Whatever that is. Small baby steps get out of your comfort zone in order to start building more and more confident. So let me know. Are you a life coach?
